The 2012 Toyota Kalahari Botswana 1000 Desert Race

The Toyota 1000 Desert Race is the premier off-road racing event held in Southern Africa. The race takes place in Botswana and a different course is laid out each year.

Here is some additional information for competitors and others going to Botswana for the Toyota 1000 Desert Race:

• You are advised not to take any firearms across the border into Botswana.
• All competitors must make lists of items coming into Botswana and do so in triplicate. Download the SARS Registration of Goods for Re-importation form DA65 here.
• All competitors are advised to enter Botswana through the Tlokweng border post.
