On a monthly basis, the Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa has an Open Day at its property at Base 4. Each
Open Day has a programme of events of interest to members, and these are also great opportunities for non-members to come along and see what
the club is all about.
A wide range of topics is presented by specialists in their field, and every one relates to the 4x4 or outdoor experience.
Please feel free to invite friends or prospective members to Base 4. Remember the new membership incentive - use the open day to get them to join up!

| 10h30 - 11h00 | Meet and greet at the Clubhouse. Join us for tea / coffee and biscuits. Paid-up members can collect their membership cards and vehicle decals from Elmarie |

Guest Speaker Ernst Retief from Birdlife South Africa will discuss important bird areas programme (Gauteng and Northwest Province). He will also bring along forms for those who wish to join his organisation. |
| 11h00 - 12h00 | Chris Foley will be on hand to assist you with the new frequencies and channel settings for ICOM, Kinson and HYT radios. Please ensure that your membership fees and radio licence fees (ORRA) are up to date. |
| 12h00 onwards | The braai fires will be lit so bring your meat, salads and camping chairs and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the peaceful surroundings of Base 4. |
| 14h00 onwards | If you need an additional adrenalin rush, a drive around the FWDCSA obstacles (all marked) can be done. Be on the lookout for the yellow pointers to help you (help will be on hand for newcomers). Please check out the course before you start and avoid any unnecessary damage to your vehicle. Otherwise just relax in the fresh air and beautiful surroundings of the Gauteng branch of the Four Wheel Drive Club of Southern Africa. |
